Paul Garvey is a native of Toronto who has spent many years studying art and music in Canada and Southern California. His career as a painter has afforded numerous exhibitions in public and private venues throughout North America, including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the entertainment studios of Metro Goldwyn Mayer, HBO, 20th Century Fox, and Warner Brothers.

His first series of paintings were realistic portraits and landscapes, which over time developed broken lines and more vibrant colours. He began exploring abstract art by researching the early cubists and then found inspiration in the work of artists like Willem de Kooning, Ed Moses and Richard Diebenkorn. His work continues to evolve, drawing from many different styles and is currently working on a series of figurative abstract paintings using a wide range of media.
